information, assurance, comfort, proximity, support
what are the 3 primary components of the calgary family assessment model?
- family structural components (external and internal relationships)
- family development (roles in the family)
- family functioning (individuals functioning within a family)
what is the calgary assessment models goal?
to gain information and understanding of the group dynamic
What is a genogram?
a tool used to provide comprehensive care (to see the full picture)
what is an ecomap?
sketch of influences outside of the family
what do the different colours mean on an ecomap?
the strength of the connection
strong - blue
moderate - purple
weak - yellow
