A description of how scientists believe the universe began. It is believed that all the matter in the universe was concentrated in a singularity and soon began to expand very quickly with a big explosion. This explosion led to the creation of the universe.

A mix of liquids, chemicals, minerals and proteins
What is evidence for the big bang theory?
The universe is still expanding today and can be tracked back to a single point, and background microwave radiation can be detected in space

The idea that humans have a duty and responsibility to look after the world

The idea that humans have authority to rule over nature and the environment

The idea that new technological developments should al be long-lasting and within the reach of all nations.
What is meant by conservation?
Trying to protect an area or species e.g maintaining an environment for an endangered species.
Is it best to buy battery farmed animal products or free range products?
Free range products as free range animals are given more space
Why do some religious people support animal experimentation?
Because they believe that animal experiments are for the good of humans e.g furthering our medical knowledge so that surgical procedures are improved.
How can animal testing help improve medical knowledge?
New drugs can be tested for effectiveness and it can be made sure that they won’t have any harmful side effects on human beings
