V offered £1 for a 50p taxi ride. The D said this wasn’t enough and took another 6 pounds. The D was guilty of theft even though the owner consented.

D given permission by manager to supply goods worth £17000 to a customer for cheques I’m which the D knew were fake. Guilty despite consent

D lawfully hired cars in Dover but took them to England to sell. They intended to do so from the start. They were arrested in Dover but appropriation happened in Germany

Uni student got proof of exam paper he was going to sit. Accepted that D wasn’t going to intend to permanently deprive the uni of it. Not guilty.

CA held that although dead body parts cannot be stolen these had a purpose and were presented therefore they were property and guilty

D left car in garage for repair. He got the spare key and drove the car home during the night without paying for repairs. Held can steal your own property if someone has legal possession of it

D recovered golf balls from the bottom of a lake at a gold course. He sold them on. Guilty as they weren’t truly abandoned and belonged to the golf course

D raised money for a charity by doing a TV campaign. But didn’t pay the charity. He had assumed rights of the owner and he had received this property for a particular purpose. Guilty theft

D got overpaid and didn’t tell her company. Guilty theft as she received property by another’s mistake
