Removal of salt from sea water by thermal desalination. This is where water is boiled and salt is left behind. We obtain pure water.

Reverse osmosis is used when it’s from a low to high concentration as the salt water is a high solution so by removing the solids first then putting the solution through a high pressure vessel this pressure causes water to move opposite direction to osmosis this leaves water without salt
