What does the urinary system consist of?
Kidneys
Urinary bladder
Ureters

Where do the kidneys lie?
On the posterior wall of the abdomen in the right and left hypochondriac regions from vertebrae T12-L3. The right kidney is usually lower than the left.
What is the relationship between the lungs and kidneys?
They are separated by the dome of the diaphragm, but the top of the kidneys is level with the inferior plural border.
Where are the adrenal glands located?
On the superior aspect of each kidney.
What are the hormones secreted from the adrenal cortex?
Cortisol
Aldosterone
Sex hormones
What are the hormones secreted from the adrenal medulla?
Adrenaline
Noradrenaline
Where is the bladder located?
Below the suprapubic region in the lesser pelvis and deep to the pubic bone
How is the bladder filled and emptied?
The bladder is filled from the ureters and expels urine when it contracts, through the urethra.
