Q

provide evidence to prove that humans migrated from place ot place?

A

Some of the earliest evidence for human movement from Africa to the Middle East was found in Palestine .
In caves at Qafzeh and Skhul, scientists discovered human fossils suggesting that humans came from Africa through the Nile Valley and into Palestine between 120,000 and 80,000 years ago.

Q

what evidence is there to say people came to arabian gulf?

A

Recent excavations at Jebel Faya in what is now Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates have produced evidence that humans also travelled from Africa across the Arabian Peninsula.
Archaeologists found stone tools in Jebel Faya that are similar to tools found in East Africa.
These tools included small hand-axes and tools for cutting up food.
Scientists determined that the stone tools were buried between about 130,000 and 95,000 years ago.

Q

how did humans get to jebal faya?was it easy or difficult?

A

Travelling from Africa to Arabia today means crossing the Red Sea. However, around 130,000 years ago, the Red Sea was much lower than it is today.
This meant that crossing from Africa to Arabia would have been like crossing a small river.
We know from discoveries at Jebel Faya that this is one of the routes that humans took into Arabia.

Q

why did people move out from uae?

A

Around 75,000 years ago, the climate became drier. It is likely that the humans who then lived in areas of the UAE became separated from those to the west and south in Yemen and Saudi Arabia. Some likely stayed in the area while some might have decide d it was time to keep moving.

A

As the climate became drier, the Arabian Gulf became no more than a river. This river valley attracted a wide range of animals. These would have provided easy hunting for humans crossing the Arabian Gulf and spreading into what is now Asia.

Q

why should places like jebel faya be preserved

A

the excavations at jebel faya allowed us to discover the ways people in the past lived and sustained. It also assisted us in comprehending how individuals of that time moved from place to place. The Jabal Faya discoveries have also placed UAE on the world map of sites which is crucial to understanding our earliest history. . Excavations at Jebel Faya have revealed how people travelled from Africa to Arabian peninsula and how to spread to other parts of the world. Archaeologists have found stone tools like hand axes that were used for cutting food at that time, quite similar to the ones in east Africa. Thus preservation of such a place will bring insight into the process of evolution of man.
