Q

What is unique about the semitendinosus tendon?

What does it cross and how does this affect an activity?

A

More tendinous at the knee. Palpable.

Crosses hip. It is an extensor of the hip. Leisure walks.

Q
Sciatic Nerve
What is its size in comparison to the rest of the body?
Where does it enter the lower limb?
What muscles does it not innervate?
What are its two branches?
A

Largest n.
Exits pelvis via greater sciatic foramen, inferior to piriformis.
Does not innervate gluteal muscles.
Divides into tibial and common fibular (peroneal) nerves.(Usually at the knee)
