500 pirates were pardoned and Cap. Pearce of HMS Phoenix went to Nassau to get em pardoned

many pirates went bad to being a pirate, including Blackbeard

reinforced the law from William III and explained how a pirate was tried, they could get the death penalty

in 1718 Rodgers sailed to Nassau to be governor and many pirates were got

Alexander Spotswood, informed the board of trade on piracy and helped capture Teach’s officers and that there was no jury
What was Spotswood’s greatest success?
launched a big attack on Teaches hideouts with the help of the royal navy and killed Teach
