Q

How did he deal with the hyperinflation crisis

A

He stopped the printing of bank notes and replaced the worthless notes with a temporary, new currency called the Rentenmark. In 1924 this was replaced with the reichsmark, a stable currency that remained for the next 25 years. Hyperinflation ended however people who had lost their savings never got their money back and blamed stresemann.

Q

How did stresemann deal with French and Belgian troops in the Ruhr

A

He arranged for USA to lend money to Germany (800 million gold marks). Germany then restated its reparations payment. This deal was known as the Dawes Plan. The French and Belgian troops left the Ruhr. However some Germans believed that he should have demanded a complete end to reparations. In 1929 through the young plan, stresemann negotiated a reduction in the total payment.
