Articulate Surfaces

A

The specific surface of the bone that forms a joint. Head of a bone.
Eg. Condyle: Apple shaped ending bone. Knuckle.

Protrusions

A

Bits that stick out, small or large.

  • Tuberosity: Large/small bumps on the bone.
  • Epicondyle: Small bumps on top of the condyle.
  • Process: Bit that sticks out.
  • Spine: Attachment for ligaments.

A

Hollows, notches or holes.

  • Neck
  • Notch: Allows for nerves, vessels or other structures to pass throughout.
  • Foramen: Complete joke.
