Q

method

A
  1. is the hypothesis directional or non-directional
  2. find the sign: record each pair of data with a + or - (if the difference is positive or negative), if there’s no difference, a nil sign 0 is recorded
  3. calculate the value of S: add the total number of plusses and minuses and select the smaller value
  4. calculate the value of N: the total number of scores, minus any nil scores
  5. find the critical value
  6. determine if the results are significant or not: S must be less than or equal to the critical value
  7. draw a conclusion
