PRESUMPTION OF INNOCENCE:
Anyone charged with a criminal offence is presumed to be innocent until proven guilty the prosecution must prove guilt, the defence does not need to establish innocent

In order to prove guilt the prosecution must establish that the accused has commuted an act that is considered a crime under the Canadian law
