A

A

Deals with matters that effect society as a whole, criminal laws are crimes committed against the state not just one individual citizen

Civil law:

A

Usually deals with disputes of property or presto all damage, it can be physical(possessions) or intellectual (ideas or creative(artwork).
Civil suits can be over little things like neighbors disagreeing over property damage or child custody when a divorce happens
