A
When people are convicted for a crime the judge has a number of option for sentencing
- complete discharge
- pay a fine to the court
- make some kind of restitution to the victim
- perform a number of community service
- serve time in prison
- probation

A
Report regualily to the probation officer who makes sure that the individual is following the terms of probation

In a youth court what is a sentence called
A
A despoliation, it can very from a fine to community service and the maximum jail time for a young offender is five years
