What is self-esteem?
General attitude about yourself
• Positive or negative evaluation of self- concept domains based on: feedback, opinions comments, past or present situations.
Individuals with low self- esteem tend to?
Focus on sub- domains where they have less competence and tend to have poor health, more risk behaviors and limited economic prospects during adulthood.
High self-esteem is associated with?
Healthier behaviours, including dietary patterns, more involvement is sport and exercise.
