Funded healthcare for pregnant women and gave women some control over clinics it set up.
How did the Sheppard-Towner Act fit with stereotypes of women at the time?
Simply reinforced the stereotypical view of women’s main role as having lots of children.
How was the ‘flappers’ largely a myth of women in America?
- Surveys found most young women as conservative and traditional as their parents, with ambitions to get married and have children.
