How are igneous rocks formed?
A
From cooling lava, where big crystals can form from slow cooling. They are tough and not easily eroded.

From heated igneous rocks

How are sedimentary rocks formed?
A
Calcium carbonate shells fall to the bottom of the sea and there is sedimentation as they are compressed. They are easily eroded

What happens when igneous rocks are eroded?
A
They contain silicone dioxide and when eroded, it is released and absorbs carbon dioxde from the atmosphere.
