The Ready Position Flashcards
is the stance or position of the body and the location of the player while waiting for the shot coming from the opponent.
ready position
Arms upward then slowly bend your trunk forward.
Forward trunk bending
Arms upward then slowly bend your trunk backward.
Backward trunk bending
Left arm upward and right hand place on the abs slowly bend your trunk to the right side.
Side bending to the right
Right arm upward and left hand place on the abs slowly bend your trunk to the left side.
Side bending to the left
Rotate head clockwise direction.
Rotate head counter clockwise direction
Head rotation
Arms sideward twist trunk to the side right and left alternately.

Rotate hips clockwise direction.

Run forward to ready position.
Run Backward to ready position
Side steps sideward right to ready position.
Side steps sideward left to ready position.
Run diagonal forward right to ready position.
Run diagonal forward left to ready position.
Run diagonal backward right to ready position.
Run diagonal backward left to ready position.
1) From the standing position feet together.
2) Step right foot sideward right approximately 2 feet in distance.
3) Bend the knees slightly about 45 degrees.
4) Body in crouch position or slightly bend forward.
5) Racket in front of the body with forehand grip position.
