What happened to relations between the FRG and GDR after 1949? Provide two pieces of evidence to support this?
They worsened as the FGR became more tied to the allies and the GDR became more tied to the ussr and the cold war was happening

What was the Hallstein Doctrine (1955)?
Signed by the FGR in 1955 stated that the FGR would not legally recognise the GDR as a lone state or their government as lawful and they would cut off diplomatic relations with any countries which had diplomatic relations with them EG Yugoslavia 1957 and Cuba 1963
