Describe the events in Germany in 1989
A
the eastern european countries began to open their borders. this put pressure on the GDR to do also . on JANUARY 1ST 1989 the GDR relaxed travel restrictions, by SEPTEMBER 161000 east germans had applied to emigrate to FRG. people demonstrated for the borders between them to oper and they were on NOVEMBER 9TH 1989 . beginning a new era of unification.
