Q

Identify two reasons that explain why Germany was not reunited after the Second World War?

A

The Allies never fully trusted the USSR and therefore they excluded them from a lot of things they did which created a divide between east and west.
- Also theAllies continued with their policy of containment after WW2 meaning they were trying to destroy the USSR’s influence and therefore it can be argued they were never going to be able to unify.
