Why was there a revolution in October?

A
  1. On september 8th the the bolshviks gained control of Peterhead and Moscow and lenin had returned from exile in Finland.
  2. On the 23rd of October kersenky became more aware of the bolshviks and closed their newspapers pravda.

Causes of the 1917 revolution Lenin

A
  1. Lenin played on the weakness of provisional government and kerrenskey who had not sloved the war and land issues.
  2. Lenin used his intellect and oratory skills to offer a gloomy predection of the future if the bolshviks did not take power.
  3. Lenin used slogans like power to the Soviets to stress the importance of workers.

Causes of the 1917 revolution trotsky

A
  1. = during his exile 1907 - 17 he developed the ideas about permanent revolution
  2. His return is September 1917 as chairman of the petrograd soviet on the 9th October the soviet set up the MRC to organise defense of petrograd
  3. Trotsky became co-odrintors of the MRC he was able to influence it to challenge the provisional government.
