what must adjectives agree with?
must agree in gender and number with their noun.
where are adjectives usually placed?
after their noun, however there are some exceptions to this - these adjectives are placed before the noun and in singular, masculine form they loose their final -o.

in order to keep the stress on the right syllable
How does the adjective ‘grande’ change to match its noun?
the adjective grande looses its -de when placed before a masculine or feminine singular noun
e. g. el gran hermano
e. g. una gran casa
as well as being used to describe nouns, what can adjectives do?
they themselves can be used as nouns
(this is the same in English)
e.g. they are Chilean - the Chileans have their own traditions
