A

use más + adjective / adverb

e.g. this iron is more powerful = está plancha es más potente

A

  1. ) bien / good is not ‘more good’ but instead is better / mejor.
  2. ) bueno “ “, however, más bueno can sometimes be used to describe an improvement in character)
  3. ) big / grande - mejor although can sometimes be más grande
  4. ) mal /malo is not ‘more bad’ but instead =worse (peor)
  5. ) mucho = a lot becomes more (más)
  6. ) pequeño = small becomes smaller = más pequeño or younger (menor)

How do we form superlatives?

A

use the definite article + más + adjective

e.g. the most incredible car = el coche más increible

What is the absolute superlative ?

A

this is formed when the final vowel of an adjective is removed and replaced with: -ísimo, -ísima, -ísimos or -ísimas.
e.g. the most beautiful = bellísimo
