What occurs at a synapse?
Nerve signal is transferred by chemicals that diffuse across the gap, which triggers another electrical signal in the next neuron

The nerve cell that transmits electrical impulses from receptors in the sense organs to the CNS.

The nerve cell that transmits electrical impulses from sensory neurons to motor neurons
