The Male Flashcards
What are a man’s external sex organs?
His penis and testicles.
What is at the tip of the penis?
The glans, this is the most sensitive part.
What is the penis made out of?
The penis is made out of erectile tissue, when the male becomes sexually aroused, small places in the tissue will fill up with blood and this will makes the penis hard and erect. This is called and erection.
What is the foreskin?
This is a fold of skin that covers the glans. The foreskin needs to be drawn back and the end of the penis needs to be washed to avoid infection. Some males have their foreskin removed and this operation is called circumcision. There are very rarely medical reasons for circumcision, but in some cultures it is performed for religious reasons.
What are testicles?
The testicles/testes are two glands that hang behind the penis in a bag of skin called the scrotum. One testicle usually hangs slightly lower than the other. When a boy reaches puberty, his testicles begin to produce sperm. Once sperm production starts, millions are produced continually.
