What is the difference between sexual harassment and rape?
Rape is sex without consent, and sexual harassment is words, gestures or touching of sexual nature that makes someone uncomfortable.
What should someone do if he or she is raped?
He/she should notify a trusted adult.
Herpes
Blister like sores near lips, mouth, nose, eyes, genitals, anus
- No cure, but can be treated with medicine.
Pubic Lice
Tiny bugs that live in pubic hair
- Cured by Medicine
Hepatitis B
Infects the liver
- No cure, but vaccine can be give to keep from getting it
Genital Warts
Warts near genitals (itchy, sore)
- No cure, but can remove them
Syphilis
Lose sight, lose ability to have children
- Can be cured by taking correct medicine
What are some ways to get HIV?
Sexual fluids, blood, breast milk, needle or syringe that’s infected, semen from the male’s penis or fluids from the female’s vagina
