Tibialis anterior
Origin: Lateral condyle and upper two-thirds of the tibia; interosseous membrane.
Insertion: Medial cuneiform and base of the first metatarsal
Extensor Hallucis longus
Origin: Middle portion of the fibula; interosseous membrane.
Insertion: Dorsal surface of the base of the distal phalanx of the big toe.
Extensory digitorum longus
Origin: Lateral condyle of the tibia; upper three-fourths of the fibula; interosseous membrane.
Insertion: Middle and distal phalanges of the four lateral toes (via extensor expansion).
Fibularis Tertius
Origin: Distal third of the fibula; interosseous membrane.
Insertion: Dorsum of the base of the fifth metatarsal.

Origin: Head and upper two-thirds of the fibula.
Insertion: Base of the first metatarsal and medial cuneiform (plantar side).

Origin:
Medial head: Medial condyle of the femur.
**Lateral head: **Lateral condyle of the femur.
Insertion: Posterior surface of the calcaneus via the Achilles tendon
Soleus
Origin: Posterior surface of the head and upper quarter of the fibula; soleal line of the tibia.
Insertion: Posterior surface of the calcaneus via the Achilles tendon.
Plantaris
Origin: Lateral supracondylar line of the femur.
Insertion: Posterior surface of the calcaneus via the Achilles tendon.
Tibialis posterior
Origin: Posterior surface of the tibia and fibula; interosseous membrane.
Insertion: Navicular, cuneiforms, cuboid, and bases of metatarsals 2-4 (plantar side).
Flexor hallucis longus
Origin: Lower two-thirds of the fibula; interosseous membrane.
Insertion: Base of the distal phalanx of the big toe (plantar side).
Flexor digitorum longus
Origin: Posterior surface of the tibia.
Insertion: Bases of the distal phalanges of the four lateral toes (plantar side).
