• to not have war taking place is the best thing and that people should try and other paths should be pursued before war
• christians believe that war is inevitable and so is pain and suffering, and heaven is the only place where this does not exist
• some christians disagree with the just war theory because they see it as defending the idea of war and makes it generally acceptable

6. Lesser Jihad - this says that war against a non-Muslim aggressor is permitted however, there are strict conduct rules.
