Q

What are some critiques to the James-Lange’s theory?

A
  1. Removing the connections between organs and nervous system, doesn’t change emotions;
  2. Same reactions different emotions;
  3. Internal organs are rather sensitive;
  4. Physical changes are too slow;

Q

Explain the Schacter and Singer’s Two-Factor Theory.

A

This theory builds on the James-Lange hyphotesis by adding the cognitive label factor. Emotions are a result both of the physiological response and cognitive interpretation.
