Q

Can the Self change? How, according to the three characteristics?

A

You need to believe and act according to your new self-views, and others need to respond to you accordingly, so you can integrate the new self-views in the self-concept

We can choose a new social reality: choosing new groups with whom to interact, changing how we dress, …

Introspection & Self Perception: you need to believe in the new self-views.

Relational & Social: Others need to consistently respond to us acknowledging the new self.
