What is primary socialisation ?
Primary - This refers to socialisation during the early years of childhood which takes place mainly within immediate family
What is secondary socialisation ?
Secondary socialisation - This occurs in later years (e.g. as teenager and adults) when the family is less involved. Friends, teachers and media are all examples of secondary socialisation
