What did God give in connection with Salvation?

God gives man the gifts of righteousness and grace in connection with
salvation. BEFORE GRACE GOD GAVE US LAW. (Exodus 20:1-17)

Mercy- do NOT get what you deserve….in a negative sense, doing something bad but getting a good outcome- you steal, get caught, and let go.

What is Justice?

Justice- get what you deserve- you steal, get caught, and go to jail.

What is salvation?

Answer 4

Salvation- belongs to God- it is His gift to us through grace. It is not of
your own doing and you can not take any credit for salvation. Salvation
is a direct result of Jesus Christ’s complete obedience to the Father.

What is Righteousness?

Righteousness- a perfect conformity to a standard.

What does it mean to have righteousness?

Answer 6

-To have right standing before God
-Is also a Gift from God (Romans 5:17)
It comes by grace through faith in Christ Jesus.

What did Jesus have to do for us to secure the righteousness of God on our behalf?

Answer 7

Jesus completely obeyed the law of God in our place and died on the
cross for our sin in our place, and secured the righteousness of God on
our behalf.
