Representation
Every mp represent the interests of their constituency, also pursue the interests of a section of society or a particular cause.
MPs also formed themselves into groups to pursue a particular interest by creating cross party groups that transcend party allegiance and seek to exert collective pressure on gov over key issues.
Parliamnet dominated by white male mps aged over 50 as well as by a disproportionately large number of privately educated MPs, hoc is far from socially representative.
