  • A hypothesis is a clear precise testable statement that states the relationship or difference between two variables that are being investigated. This is stated at the start of any study.
  • Null hypothesis: states that there are no differences between two conditions

Alternative hypothesis:

  • Directional/one tailed
  • non directional/two tailed
