  • Whether standardised instructions are clear
  • Check pictures/materials used in the study are suitable and clear
  • Check whether questions are clear and well worded
  • Check Participants understand what they have to do
  • Make sure participants don’t guess the aim of the experiment which results in demand characteristics
  • Check all equipment works properly

What is a meta analysis?

A
  • It involves a researcher looking at findings from a number of different studies and produces a statistic or conclusion (a larger conclusion) to represent the overall effect.
  • It produces an effect size as the dependent variable in order to asses over all trends
