Q

why were the ‘70’s a lil difficult for the European Communities and its growth?

A

the 1970s proved to be a challenging period for the Communities and for integration. International currency instability, the 1973 oil crises, and inflation brought an end to the unprecedented sustained economic growth of the post-war period. Governments in Europe generally reacted to the economic crisis by pursuing national as opposed to coordinated European responses.

II: Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP)
