Found that an ECI technique that stressed the use of focused mental imagery produced increased accurate detail in comparison to the CI, especially concerning personal details of people being recalled and this effectvwas greater if the ECI took place 1 week after an event rather than immediately afterwards
So the ECI is an improvement on the CI but the timing of the interview being conducted is vital
