Formal Language
o Impromptus on a certain topic requires you to use ordinary or
Conversational Language.
o More personal than formal
o It is casual and spontaneous
o Personal Mails
o Text messages
o Chats
Informal Language
o Non-emotional and sticks to facts. It is most appropriate for technical
writings.
o Similar to a formal register – the main difference is the higher level
of accessibility.
o Common word choice
o No jargon and slang
o Relatively simple sentence structures
