What was the most dangerous event during the cold war?
The Cuban Missile crisis. USA threatened the Soviet Union with nuclear weapons, therefore Cuba agreed to host the Soviet Unions missiles. Fortunately, president John F. Kennedy came to an agreement with Cuba that if they got rid of the missiles, USA would never invade Cuba. This threat could of caused a very large Nuclear war if Kennedy had not solved the problem.
Why was USA forced to withdraw from Vietnam?
They ran out of supplies and lost over 55,000 soldiers. This was because even though they were very supplied, the Vietcong had better tactics. The used the “guerilla” tactic, which was to blend in with the local population and then come out of hiding with surprise attacks or traps on the US army.
