It is 80% of your brain
What is the cerebral cortex responsible for?
It is responsible for thinking, memory, personality and producing/understanding language
How is the cerebral cortex split?
It is split into two cerebral hemispheres. The right hemisphere communicates with the left side if the body and vice versa.
Where is the cerebellum situated?
At the top of the spine
What is the cerebellum responsible for?
It is responsible for balance, posture, timing, fine control. It only coordinates movement not initiate.
What is the Medulla Oblongata connected to?
The neurones in the medulla are connected to the spinal cord
What is the Medulla Oblongata responsible for?
It controls heart rate and breathing rate
Also reflexes: vomiting, sneezing and swallowing.
