- regulates body temperatures
- sends signals to the pituitary gland

How do you study the brain?
A
- Study people with brain damage
- Electrically stimulate different parts of the brain
- Scan the brain using (MRI, CT etc.)

Why is treating the brain difficult
A
- Could cause tumors
- Trauma
- Infections
- Mental Health Problems
- It’s complex + don’t understand it.
- It is difficult to fix with drugs and chemicals as we don’t know the full effect
- There is brain tissue which is fragile so it is difficult to physically fix anything
