Where did the Bubonic Plague come from?

Symptoms of the Bubonic Plague
Painful swellings in the armpits, groin etc called buboes and an intense fever and blisters all over the body.
Where did the Plague originally come from?
Small outbursts had been occurring in China before it appeared in England.
Miasma
Bad smells and bad air.
How did people react to Miasma Theory?
People carried posies of flowers and other sweetly smelling plants to make air smell good.
How did people react to the Bubonic plague?
People placed live toads/chickens on the buboes and rubbed camomile lotion on them.
Flagellants
Walked around towns almost naked whipping themselves to show God their self-sacrificing behaviour so he would take away the plague.
What did people believe about the plague regarding God?
They believed God was punishing them for their sins and he caused the plague and let it spread so people prayed for reconciliation.

Caused by breathing in cough droplets from those already infected.

The Pneumonic plague attacked the respiratory system.

Victim violently coughs up blood.

Bacteria - Yersinia Pestis - Flea Bites.
