The Biosphere Flashcards
Ecology
The study of interactions of living organisms with one another and their non-living environment.
Biosphere
The biosphere is a narrow zone of the earth where land, water, air interact with each other to support life, it includes the lithosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere.
Hydrosphere
All the salt and freshwater areas of the Earth.
Lithosphere
Rigid outer part of the Earth, the crust and mantle.
Atmoshpere
Envelope of gases around the Earth.
Ecosystem
Group of living things that interact with the physical environment.
