Communication is the process of generating meaning by sending or receiving verbal or non verbal signals or signs influenced by several context.
Describe Manuscript era
It was an old document that was written by hand and was invented before printing existed and it made a turn in culture from oral to written

Manuscript, Audiovisual and Printing era
What did the manuscript do?
It introduced to the people back then a plan for how to plant, store, trade, protect or sell their food and the people also needed accounting systems to keep track of their materials or record transactions.
What is the Print era?
Invention of the printing press and it introduced the ability to mass produce written text
What was invented in the audiovisual era?
Radio,Telegraph,television and telephone
What is Rhetoric?
An important of field of communication studies that went mainly back to Aristotle the greek philosopher
What was the goal of Rhetoric
To convince or persuade your audience that your ideas or opinions are valid or more valid that some else’s.
What are the 3 categories of Rhetoric
Ethos logos and Pathos
Describe Ethos form of communication
Used to convey the writers credibility or authority
Describe Logos form of communication
The logic used to support a claim which it can also be the facts or statistics used to support an argument
Describe Pathos form of communication
To persuade an audience using emotional language or vivid language
What is the big misunderstanding today in the forms of communication
Today it is often believed that rhetoric refers to misleading false or unethical communication
