Transversospinalis
Where are the transversospinalis located?
Deep to erector spinae
What are the structures that a palpable on the surface of the back?
1) vertebra prominens
2) thoracic spinous processes
3) sacral triangle
- bass between right and left PSIS
- apex = S3
Is it normal to have variation in the spinal chord?
Yes
Where does the spinal chord begin and end?
Begins at foramen magnum at medulla oblongata
Conus medullaris of the spinal chord often terminated at L1 or L2
And then cards equina begins
What are the parts of a spinal nerve?

Pia mater
Arachnoid
Dura mater
What is the cauda equina formed by?
Numerous roots of the lumbar, sacral, and coccygeal spinal nerves
- each root covered by Pia mater
- film terminale
What forms the caudal sac?
Formed by arachnoid and dura mater (terminates at s2)
- lumbar cistern
