what are the threats to food security of indigenous people?

A

climate change has led to reduction of sea ice -> hunting more difficult + threatening already low biodiversity

fish stocks dependent on ice cover are falling

falling no. of caribou as calves are born after the peak foliage time bc of an earlier spring

people turning to store-bought food which is expensive bc of transport costs + often poor quality -> socio-economic issues eg obesity + malnutrition
