An agreement between Spain and Portugal that gave each country a side. Spain west, Portugal east

Europeans took away their culture and used them as slaves

Europeans believed that they were better than the indigenous

Most of the people in the americas were destroyed and all resources were used to benefit Europe

Imperialism: To extend a country’s power
Expansionism: To expand a country’s territory or economics

Circumnavigation: To travel all the way around the world
Decolonization: Colonies become independent
