What are the five values of the Tucson Fire Department?
Integrity, Service, Safety, Teamwork, Excellence, Professionalism
TFD members will be loyal to their profession, their principals, their character and the public rust and have the courage to hold each member accountable for his/her actions.
Do what is right, do your best, treat others accordingly.
Define Integrity
TFD members will work to enhance the quality of life within our community and our department through our actions and words.
Follow through on promises, if we say we’re going to do something, do it. Clear course of action, work for the common good.
Define Service
TFD members will employ safe work practices to ensure the health and well-being of themselves, their co-workers, and the members of the community. Risk a lot to save a life, Risk a little to save savable property, Risk nothing to save nothing.
Define Safety
TFD members will work in partnership with each other and the community to attain our goals.
Communication through active listening, providing feedback and expression of ideas, Encourage active participation. Recognize that the dept serves the community and support our mission and goals.
Define Teamwork
TFD members believe in continuous improvement and never being satisfied with anything less.
Strive to be as good as we can be every day, accept responsibility for our actions and inactions, commit to the mission and goals.
Define Excellence
TFD members will consistently demonstrate and foster the hightest level of pride, respect, and trust within the organization and the community.
Positive attitude, performance, and dedication to service. Be intolerant of negative behavior.
