1) Traditional - Four to six stories on a page. Takes photos and stories and puts them in a straightforward style. There’s usually a lot of text.
2) Magazine Cover - Big art and dynamic headlines to highlight a special centerpiece. Usually only one big story.
3) The Information Center - Volume and variety of graphics, photos, promos, and briefs. A window into all the rest of the paper.

1) Statistics - Score, standings, records, etc.
2) Calendars and Listings - Future games.

1) Previews - Coverage of Big Events Published in Advance.
2) Special Reports - Wrap up news event that just occurred.
3) Special Enterprise Packages - Investigative stories that take a team of reporters and designers months to assemble.
What are the four sizes of printed newspaper pages?
1) Broadsheet - Conventional Newspaper Size
2) Berliner - Slightly smaller than the broadsheet.
3) Tabloid - Think close to a magazine size.
4) The 3V - Smallest Size of All.
What are the five things online news sites need to be?
1) Informative - Accurate and useful information needs to be present.
2) Aesthetically appropriate/pleasing - This means understanding that every design choice has an impact on the reader.
3) Usable - Readers need to know how to navigate the platform to find what they are looking for.
4) Quick - The site needs to be speedy or else readers will leave.
5) Credible - Has to be “clean” and well-organized. There also has to be a visible way for the readers to get in contact with those who organize the site and its content.
